Panorama++

Today I finally thought of making multiple pictures of things too big to fit in one picture, to merge them into one image at home. The results are pretty cool, I think. I walked to Saint Stephen's Green first, you can see the center of the park on the picture. There's one easter egg hidden here, you can see a father with two girls walking here twice. Thanks to Roel for finding that one. :-) On this picture I didn't force the same exposure settings for every picture, so it looks like the grass isn't the same colour everywhere.

I also passed by the department of the prime minister. Although the exposure is fixed here, the picture is a "bit" distorted. There's a second version, which is kind-of straight horizontally, at least. Not really perfect, though.

So yeah, I'm back in Dublin. Spent a few days in .nl when I came back, but it's time to go back to work, and find a house. I tried to get something last week, but someone else applied for the house before I did. :-( I hope to get something soon though, it's time to stop living in hotels all the time. :-/

grin Yes, your picture of that fountain in SF is stuck in my mind for weeks already so I decided some time ago that I want to be with the cool panorama guys too. And now I found suitable material ... I hope. :-)

But remember, these panorama shots are powered by open source and hippie powers!!! ;-)

(I'm looking for Photoshop to do HDR stuff though, my HDR experiment yesterday didn't go all that well...)

I had written a whole post, then I got curious and clicked on the bbcode link below and now it's all gone~ sniff normally such links open some info block within the page... pouts

~~ what I remember from the post I'd written ~~

Pretty! Is there software to do this for you automatically?
Ah, found the doppelgangers ^^b

Living in a hotel sounds perfect to me: no cleaning whatsoever! (do they also have a laundry service? ^_~) but of course it's not a home. Let's hope you'll find your own place soon!

Oh I almost forgot: I'm using iGoogle now as start page. It's really handy! and now I'm finally using the functionality of rss and be updated immediately when you write a new post ^_~

Living in a hotel for a while is nice. The cleaning is indeed nice too, as long as they don't throw away packs of cookies (happened twice back in MTV, there were still cookies in there but ... well, apparently not enough).

Heh, iGoogle. The RSS part sounds cool. I'm still using an RSS reader, I think that does work better if using more feeds than just blogs. Too many entries in the others, so all the blog things kind-of get SlashDotted. :-)

hmm on iGoogle theoretically you should be able to just incorporate multiple rss readers and let each one of them show specific 'news'? one for your friends, one for slashdot ^_~
